After a major storm again last night, it turned out to be a very pleasant day. This afternoon, the boys enjoyed playing outside in the backyard and then we walked, rather, Kylan ran and Ty and I jogged to keep up with him, to the playground at AB Combs.
The 3 of us played tag – which was me playing keep away from Ty as he would try to tag me. Kylan just enjoyed running with or away from us.
Last week, Chris challenged Ty to do every other bar on the monkey bars. Ty attempted but did not do it while Chris was here. Today, I challenged him to try again. It took a few attempts, but when he succeeded, he enjoyed it so much he continued to practice as well as climbing across the other bars.
Kylan wanted to swing on the bars too. So he would swing himself through the bars on either side of the steps and then come tell me, “Mom, I did it” with a big smile.
Ty informed me at the playground that A.B. Combs is his favorite elementary school. Every time we pass the school in our car, Kylan exclaims, “That’s my school!” Ty corrects him and says, “Yes, Kylan that will be your school when you are old enough to go to Kindergarten.”
