Our AAA familywebsite disappeared, so I thought I would transfer here and join the world of blogger. Everyone else is doing it, so why not? Hopefully this will help me keep up with scrapbooking:)

Chris and Ty left for Utah yesterday, so Kylan and I are holding down the fort this week. I had to rearrange my flight for a certification at work. We will join them on Saturday.

Quick update of our family. We have now been living in Durham NC for 8 years. We orginally thought we would be here 3-4 years, max 5 years, but obviously that did not happen. We came originally for a job at Duke for me. Then Chris finished his undergraduate here at NC Central and a little school called UNC - Chapel Hill or in the world of basketball - Carolina:) He then completed a Masters in Counseling at NC State University. After 2 years at Duke as a clinical exercise physiologist, I left and started teaching in the Physical Education Department at NC State University and have been there since. It has been quite a long semester and I am happy to have 2 weeks off. Sadly, they will be spent preparing for my summer courses and distance education class.

We have 2 sons, Tygerson who will turn 4 in August and Kylan who just turned 6 months old yesterday. Ty loves trains, hence Clarksville station. For his 3rd Birthday, the theme was Thomas the train of course. His love for trains has only increased. Every day he tells us about a new train he needs to earn. If you ever need to know the name any of Thomas the Train's friends, he is the one to ask. He is our little performer. He loves to sing songs and make up stories and songs (usually based from his favorite movie at the moment). Currently many of his sayings and songs are from Madagascar and Over the Hedge - but he will also pull from his past favorites as well. He loves to perform at school and has taught his friends many of his favorite songs.

Kylan is a happy, smiling and ticklish 6 month old. He loves when Ty talks to him and giggles when Ty sings and dances for him. Ty has shared his bed with Kylan for bedtime stories since he was 2 months old. Kylan has just started sitting -- well he can hold himself as long as he doesn't move:).
