Halloween

Western hosted the first Employee family Halloween party.  It happened to fall on the same night as our ward party - so it was quite an eventful night for us.  Luckily the College party started earlier - so we went up to that first.  We let the boys choose the games they wanted to play until their tickets ran out.

Ty decorated a sugar cookie.

Both boys enjoyed throwing balls in the pumpkins.

Ty tried his hand at the ring toss - even though he was not successful - he still was able to pick out a treat.

The boys ran out of tickets in time to head to the Ward Halloween party.  There the boys enjoyed another round of various Halloween games and Chris and I enjoyed trying the variety of chilis that were brought for the chili cookoff.  I had left my camera in the car - but the best game was watching Ty and Kylan attempt to eat a hanging donut without any hands.  Ty figured out how to use his shoulder and Kylan was able to get a few bites.  After a few minutes of trying - we removed the donuts and just let the boys eat them.  

Monday night for Halloween - we headed to the church for the tri-ward trunk-or-treat.  The boys let me get a picture of them before we started.  Kylan was proud to wear his Thomas the train, but after the pictures, Ty decided he would not wear Hiro.  

Ty quickly put distance between him and Kylan as he speed through the parking lot to each car.  I think he was worried they would run out of candy.

 Kylan took his time and enjoyed walking from car to car.  Eventually his bucket become to heavy and Chris had to carry it for him, but Kylan enjoyed getting his candy and placing it in his bucket.

By the time we made it around the parking lot, both boys had full buckets.  However, it was still a little early, so we drove across town to wear my co-worker lives and let the boys do some real trick-or-treating house to house.  Ty was ready to go all night.  He was disappointed that we did not let him go to every single house.  When we got home, I sorted the candy and place at least half the candy out on the doorstep.  Within an hour - it was gone.  I found that is a quick way to get rid of the candy we do not care for.
